With the advent of flat-screen TVs, the digitalization of TV broadcasting, high-definition broadcast and Blu-ray, television technology has blossomed in the past several years. Yet something as elemental as calibrated color quality has been ignored. When one walks through the TV section in an electronics store, the colors of all images still look different, even across the same models. This is because manufacturers use different panels, video chips, LUTs (look up table) and settings for RGB, contrast, brightness and so on.

With a simple and affordable luminance-meter added to the television by the manufacturer, color quality becomes truer, more natural and more brilliant. COLOR CORRECTION: HOW WE DO IT
Color-correction is the correction of the color and luminance reproduction of the output device. To do so we use different methods. Most importantly, we apply the correction LUT (Look Up Table) directly to the graphics board. Others include correcting RGB gain settings, contrast, brightness settings, black level and backlight setting. The corrections are saved inside the device itself.
